Table of contents

Meigu Lake is an archipelago region explored partly by boat, with docks acting as the main landmarks. Because many of its bosses sit on separate islands, it is easy to miss content here. The AllThings. How map counts fifteen boss markers in the region, second only to the Crimson Forest. Later, a frozen section opens up once all four Acolytes are beaten, leading to the optional Blizzard Blademaster.

Meigu Lake at a glance

The AllThings. How interactive map tracks 20 bells, 15 boss markers and 9 chests in Meigu Lake. Bells are checkpoints and upgrade stations, so unlocking every one makes backtracking much faster. Boss markers include optional fights as well as story bosses, and chests are where many accessories and upgrade materials are hidden. You can tick these off on our interactive map and the collectibles checklist.

Bosses and how to approach them

Zhu Yuan, the Searing Blade is at the bottom of the Sha-Chi tower. When he glows orange, dodge away or guard-break him to interrupt. When he spins, fire travels along the ground toward you. The next attack is often a red jump; do not dodge until he actually reaches you. He drops Scorching Flames, which tempers the Sanguine Reach.

Grief-Stricken Jin leads a group; defeat the weaker enemies first. Reward: Embroidered Shoes, used to temper the Scarlet Wraithblade.

The One-Eyed Archer on the eastern island fires constantly and has one of the strongest single attacks in the game. When he charges in the middle and fires red lasers, run to the arena edges beforehand and jump over any that reach you. He drops the One-Eyed Bow.

You Loong, the Frenzied Blackwater Crew Leader is a hidden island rematch that opens with a red attack. He drops the High-Power Pump and, according to TechWiser, the Loong Trident edge.

Yan Qiansui, the Zither Maiden sends orbs: parry blue, avoid red and the large white ones. She drops Illusory Pipa Strings and Fanatic's items.

Heartpiercer, Elite Shadow Warden sends spinning blades with his red attack and follows a backward spin jump with another red. He drops the Sundering Dual Axes.
