Phantom Blade Zero has 36 PlayStation trophies: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver and 18 Bronze, worth 1,260 points, according to Phantom Blade Guide's reading of the PlayStation Network data. The Steam version lists 66 achievements, so the PC list is not an exact copy. This guide groups the PS5 trophies by type and lays out a roadmap for earning the platinum in one run.

Key facts before you start

• One playthrough is enough. Phantom Blade Guide reports that director Soulframe Liang said every trophy can be earned in a single run.
• Difficulty does not matter. Liang said even a run entirely on Wayfarer, the easiest difficulty, unlocks everything. No trophy names a difficulty.
• 66 Days is not required. No trophy asks for it.
• Time estimate. KeenGamer estimates roughly 30 to 40 hours for the platinum. Phantom Blade Guide had no measured figure yet. See how long to beat.

Story trophies

• Defy Destiny (Platinum): earn all other trophies.
• The Heart's Journey (Bronze): escape the pursuers on the main road.
• With Heart and Blood (Gold): All Comes to Light.
• All Dreams Must End (Gold): All Schemes Come to Nothing.

Boss trophies

There are boss trophies for Peng Meng (The Axe's Grudge), Hua the Bride (Scarlet Wraithblade), The Hunt (The Hunt), Hua Qianxiao (A Thousand Cups Drained), Bai Chilian (The Shattered Mirror), Mu Xiaokui (Will We Meet Again?), Flame (The Lion's Spirit Lives On), the Chief Disciple of the Seven-Stars (Sword Against the Seven-Stars), Huangxing (Crossroads of Blood), the Puppet Scavenger (Nothing Goes to Waste), Lei Dang (All Return to Dust), the Blizzard Blademaster (The White Shadow) and the Saw and the Crusher (Saw It Through).

Several trophies group bosses together:

• Master of the Misty Waters: You Loong, Yan Qiansui and the One-Eyed Archer.
• The Four Freed: the four Great Puppets Yuzan, Yubi, Yuding and Yucong.
• The Two Blade Masters: Zhu Yuan and Commander Bi Feng.
• Three Wardens Fall: Cavalrybane, Soulclaimer and Heartpiercer.

Side quest trophies

Nine trophies ask you to finish side quests:

• Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake: Secrets at the Heart of the Lake.
• Phantom and Blade: Bloodline Awakening (all five Lóng Pillars).
• The Last of Baishan: Secrets of the Baishan Sect.
• Together Till the End: The Journey Home.
• A Wanderer's Honor: Young Master Lan.
• Spectral Blade: A Severed Mindseal.
• The Healer's Legacy: Flesh Lily, Apprentice Healer and A Healer's Mercy.
• Lost and Found: all of Quick Hand's Requests.
• Even Trees Know Sorrow: Heart of the Banyan.

Side quests have cut-off points tied to story progress, which is the main way to miss trophies. The missable items guide and the true ending guide list the key deadlines, such as the Green Serpent House door and The Last Chance bell.

Upgrade and collection trophies

• A Tempered Ten: temper 10 weapons.
• Overwhelming Force: upgrade a weapon to level 30.
• Phantom Arsenal: temper 10 Phantom Edges.
• Skill Over Strength: upgrade a Phantom Edge to level 30.
• Listen to Every Flower: collect 10 Memory Flowers.
• Collector's Notes: collect 30 accessories.

Level 30 is the weapon cap in the first cycle according to the th.gl difficulty guide, so these are achievable in one run. Tempering is explained in our Soul Tempering guide. With 66 accessories in the game, 30 is less than half; browse them in the accessories database.

Suggested roadmap

1. Play on whichever of the first three difficulties you enjoy.
2. Explore each region fully before advancing; use our region guides and checklist.
3. Accept and progress every side quest as soon as it appears.
4. Before opening the Green Serpent House door, finish four Lóng Pillars and all purple quests.
5. In the Mirage Estate, finish the fifth pillar and Quick Hand Zhang's last set.
6. Spend Remnant Dust on one weapon and one edge to level 30, and temper ten of each.
7. Finish the story for the two Gold story trophies.
